What are my rights if I am injured on the job?

If you are injured at work, you have certain rights. In an accepted Georgia workers' compensation claim, the Employer/Insurer is required to pay for medical treatment and income benefits if you are out of work as a result of your job injury. If you have a Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) rating, the workers' comp carrier is also required to pay you for that rating. Insurance companies do not always to a good job of informing injured workers of their rights.
