Workers' comp check always late.

Insurance carriers frequenly issue workers' compensation checks late. In Georgia, a TTD check is late if it is sent after the last day of the pay period if it is mailed from in state. If mailed from out of state, the check must be mailed no later than three days before the last day of the pay period. If a TTD check is mailed late, the Employer/Insurer owe a 15% penalty. If you have problems with the work comp carrier sending your checks in a timely fashion contact Brian Sumrall at (404) 857-3835.
