Catastrophic work injury.

Under Georgia workers' comp law, an individual who is deemed to have suffered a catastrophic work injury is eligible to receive income benefits for the remainder of his life. Injured workers with catastrophic claims are also entitled to vocational rehabilitation benefits as well as medical treatment for the remainder of their lives. The medical treatment is only provided so long as the need for treatment was caused by the workplace injury.
