Workers' comp stopped sending my checks.

In compensable Georgia workers' compensation claim where income benefits are being paid, the workers' compensation carrier can only stop sending weekly checks for a few reasons. They can stop sending income benefits if a doctor releases you to work without restrictions, if the 350 week cap on benefits expires or if you actually return to work. There are other limited exceptions as well. Further, the workers' compensation carrier is required to put you on notice that your income benefits are being suspended. If you have a question about your workers' compensation income benefits being stopped, contact Atlanta attorney Brian H. Sumrall at (404) 857-3835 or visit our website at
