Pain and suffering damages in a Georgia workers' comp claim.

In Georgia, an injured worker cannot be awarded pain and suffering damages in a workers' compensation claim. The Georgia legislature has placed caps on workers' compensation damages. An individual who has been injured at work in Georgia can only receive Temporary Total Disability (TTD), Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) and medical benefits. However, if you have a workers' compensation claim, you should still pursue that claim. Even though you cannot receive damages for pain and suffering, your claim could still settle for a substantial amount.
